If you’re into iRiver, Sandisk, MP3 CD, or any other old-school MP3 player, it’s pretty easy to get set up, actually. You’ll still need iTunes installed on your computer, so you’ll have to let iTunes install and find your music.

You’ll need at least one playlist in iTunes filled with music for your workout. It’s easiest if you have between about 20 to 200 songs to choose from.

Now, in iTunes, make sure it’s set to import using MP3. To do this, go to Edit>Preferences (iTunes menu>Preferences on Mac). Click the Advanced button, then the Importing tab. Make sure Import Using is set to MP3 Encoder. Click OK to close the window.

Now, with Podfitness and iTunes running, you’ll be able to create workouts with music you choose. When the workout is created, you can drag it from your Podfitness playlist in iTunes to your desktop. From there, go nuts, your workout is an MP3 file you can use however you want!
