A Cheap, Easy Way To Give Your Diet a Boost
If you’re like me, you have trouble getting veggies in, especially at work. I’m not really into raw vegetables, either. So I’m really feeling the new zip-top steam bags that I saw in the grocery store.
If you haven’t seen them, both Glad and Ziploc brands have steam bags. You just toss the veggies in the bag, put the bag in the microwave, and the cooking times are printed right on the bag. I’m not sure I’d cook my meats in it, but the vegetables turn out perfectly. Plus, you can throw away that “cooking broccoli smell” with the bag.
They’re about 3 bucks for a package of 10, so for 30 cents a bag, you can get your veggies in with a minimum of dishwashing. If you have any other tricks you use to eat healthy at work, let us know!
